Capturing French Elegance intertwined in our family’s Century of Farming in Rural QLD.
Using inspiration from the early beginnings of our farm post-World War One, Lagnicourt is a French inspired building thoughtfully brought to life to bring people together to celebrate their special occasion.
The space is a purpose built structure to hold functions of up to 150 people. Its entrance begins with a foyer and open fireplace which then flows into the large main room. The venue is surrounded by landscaped gardens overlooking the dam.
The building itself provides a space for all weather conditions with heating and cooling, as well as options to include an outdoor marquee for your ceremony.
Situated on a 650 acre working apple orchard there are an abundance of stunning photo locations to suit your day.
Lagnicourt is located 20mins North of Stanthorpe. As tourism continues to grow in popularity in the region, it is home to hundreds of accommodation options, wineries and hikes to make the weekend away one to remember.

1915
Clyde McMahon enlisted on the 10th of December 1915 to join the allied forces in Northern France during WW1.

![Clyde and Ellen resided in Pozieres]()
1925
Clyde and Ellen resided in Pozieres after the war, building the family home and naming it Lagnicourt in memory of an instrumental battle undertaken by the Australian Forces in Northern France. On return from war Clyde took on the roll of headmaster at Pozieres State School for 18 years while also clearing and planting blocks of apples.

1945
Max and Lorna McMahon purchased and took over the farm in 1945. Bringing in new varieties of apples, close planting methods and trickle irrigation saw the early success and expansion of the orchard.

![Dam infrastructure begins]()
1950's
Dam infrastructure first begin in the 1950s. Since this time more than 300 megalitres of storage has been built on the farm and creates the backdrop to Lagnicourt.

1980's
The 1980’s saw the return of Jeff and Rosemary alongside Malcom and Cathy to form the third Generation of Farming. With tough market conditions, significant drought and hailstorms, success was born through diversification of the farm. This included growing Euphorbia Peplis for skin cancer treatment and the conversion to organics in 2000, which is still in practice today.

2016
The fourth generation of farming began in 2016 with the return of Paul and later in 2020, David. Today; Jeff, Rosemary, Paul and David work on the farm, supplying organic produce across the East Coast of Australia.

2021
Paul and Megan married in 2021 and now have welcomed two children -Robert and Sophie. David and Emily were married in 2024. With the forever growing family there has always been strong talks of diversification that doesn’t rely on Mother Nature. In 2021 the farm opened a restoration project as a short term rental, followed by the construction of Lagnicourt. In 2025 the farm celebrates 100 years of farming and looks forward to continuing farming alongside diversification.
